Our client built their dream home last year and have been slowly finishing the spaces that were not a priority right away. We have several more fun projects in the queue for this couple, but we recently delivered a new desk for their office.
They were looking for a desk that would pop against the dark blue walls. We knew that any natural light wood would be a great option. Since we already made a couple of live edge mantles for their fireplaces, we stuck to what we knew they liked - ambrosia maple!
Although we picked a piece that didn't have as much of character in it (per our client's request), ambrosia maple typically has a lot of unique color variation. Luckily, the slab that we picked had some "curl" in it that gives almost an iridescent look in some spots.
This L-shaped corner desk is supported by two black metal legs. The boxy square legs add a modern touch to the more rustic desk top.
We think this desk will be the perfect spot for any work our clients need to do from home!
