It's a little ironic that woodworkers don't have much nice furniture that they've built for themselves. That's honestly because they are always too busy building things for other people - especially when they are paying customers!
This entertainment center was the only piece that Derek had made for himself up until recently. The dark brown doors, shelves and top really pop against the white base. And the black barn door track adds a rustic touch.
The open shelving provides space for any streaming devices (or DVD players for those that still have them). Plus it offers a great place to display any sentimental items, such as photo albums. We keep our wedding album and year in review albums in ours!
In addition to the open shelving, there is plenty of hidden storage on both sides. Hidden by chevron sliding barn doors, this is a great spot to stash anything that you want to keep out of site.
And if you couldn't tell that chevron is our favorite pattern - this entertainment center would not be complete without a chevron dark brown stained top.
This piece is the perfect addition to any family/living room!
