Laundry rooms are often one of the most overlooked spaces in a home, but when designed with both style and function in mind, they can become a place you actually enjoy spending time. We recently had the pleasure of transforming a client’s laundry room into a beautiful, organized, and highly efficient space—and we’re excited to share the results with you.
The Vision
Our client came to us hoping to upgrade their laundry room from a basic, utilitarian space into something more functional and visually appealing. They wanted a room that made doing laundry easier, with plenty of storage and a layout that worked with their daily routine. Of course, they also wanted it to look great—because who says laundry can’t happen in style?
The Design
We started by maximizing every inch of the room. Custom cabinetry was key to keeping supplies tucked away and clutter off the counters. We installed:
- Upper Cabinets for storing detergents, cleaning supplies, and those “extras” every laundry room seems to accumulate.
- Lower Cabinets to conceal less attractive items and create a seamless, built-in look around the washer and dryer.
- Trash Drawer: We incorporated a pull-out trash drawer to keep waste out of sight and maintain a clean, clutter-free look.
- Open Shelving for Laundry Baskets: Knowing that laundry often means multiple loads and sorting, we added open shelving designed specifically to hold laundry baskets. This allows for easy sorting and quick access, keeping everything organized without sacrificing style.
The Details
The cabinetry is painted crisp white, paired with sleek black hardware for a modern, clean look. This pops beautifully against the calming sage green walls, while the black stone-look countertops provide a durable work surface and pull the whole palette together. A deep stainless steel sink with a black faucet was also a must—because every great laundry room needs a utility sink for those tougher jobs. (The contractor coordinated and installed the countertops and sink.)
Form Meets Function
Our goal is always to merge style with functionality, and this laundry room is the perfect example. Every cabinet, shelf, and drawer was built with the client’s needs in mind. From the trash drawer to the custom laundry basket storage, every detail helps make their day-to-day routine easier—while creating a space that feels bright, fresh, and modern.
The Client’s Reaction
When we revealed the finished space, our client was thrilled. They loved how organized and efficient the layout is, and the new design has completely changed the way they use the room. Laundry day is now less of a chore—and that’s a win in our book.
