Some projects feel special from the very beginning—and this white oak wine room was one of them. When our clients came to us with the idea of transforming an unused nook of their home into a dedicated space for their growing wine collection, we knew this was going to be a dream build.
They envisioned something warm, functional, and timeless. A space that didn’t just store bottles, but showcased them. A space that felt intentional, elegant, and built with the kind of care that only handcrafted woodworking can deliver.
And of course… they requested one more feature that made the project even more unique: a spot for their humidor.

Designing a Space With Purpose
Wine rooms are all about thoughtful storage—and maximizing every inch matters. This space had a compact footprint, which meant the design needed to work smart and look beautiful.
We built the entire room from solid white oak, a hardwood we love for its durability, grain character, and timeless warmth. To keep the space visually interesting and highly functional, we incorporated:

Individual bottle storage for organization and easy access

Diagonal shelving for large collections and display bottles

A built-in countertop for pouring, staging, or simply admiring the collection

A dedicated humidor cubby for cigar storage, neatly tucked in and fully integrated

Two storage drawers with matte black hardware for accessories
Every shelf, angle, and spacing measurement was intentional—crafted to hold a variety of bottle shapes and collection sizes while giving the room a cohesive, tailored look.
The Beauty of White Oak
There’s a reason white oak has become one of our most requested materials. It’s strong, stable, and rich in character without being overpowering. In this wine room, the white oak brought a sense of warmth and sophistication—exactly what the clients envisioned.
Paired with the dark accent wall and statement lighting, the wood becomes the standout feature the moment you walk through the door.
